Special Guests

Andy Imparato

is the Executive Director of the Association of University Center of Disabilities. As a disability rights lawyer and policy professional with more than 25 years of experience in government and advocacy roles, Imparato has worked with bipartisan policymakers to advance disability policy in the areas of civil rights, workforce development and disability benefits. He is known for seeking out and mentoring emerging leaders with disabilities. He graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School.

Eli Capilouto

is the 12th President of the University of Kentucky. Dr. Capilouto previously served as Provost of the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) and Dean of the UAB School of Public Health. Under his leadership at UK, the University has experienced growth in total operations and a transformation of the Lexington campus, to expand UK’s education, research, service and health care missions. Dr. Capilouto is also a champion around accessibility and inclusion issues. He holds a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from UAB and a Doctorate in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University.

Lisa Cassis

is the Vice President for Research at the University of Kentucky. Dr Cassis leads the research enterprise and oversees research proposal development, grants and contracts administration, and 13 multidisciplinary research centers and institutes. She is Principal Investigator on multiple federal grants, has published more than 150 scholarly articles, and has been continuously funded by the NIH for 30 years. She holds a PhD in Pharmacology from West Virginia University.

Event Parking

Before you arrive, please take a few minutes to explore your parking options. Most employee lots and student commuter lots are available on weekends. With only a few exceptions, parking permits are not required after 7 p.m. on Friday until 10 p.m. Sunday.
The closest lot to the event will be the Bill Gatton Student Center Lot, located off Avenue of Champions.
The closest parking garage, accessible to the Student Center via pedway, will be the South Limestone Garage (PS #5). The South Limestone Garage has an entrance and exit on South Limestone and on Upper Street. The South Limestone Garage is free and open to the public on weekends.
