HDI 50th Anniversary Spotlight — Sonja Feist-Price

HDI is an indispensable resource for our state and the Commonwealth and serves as a very important reason why we are the University FOR Kentucky. —Sonja Feist-Price, UK Vice President for Institutional Diversity and Rehabilitation Counseling Faculty Member

How long have you been involved with HDI and what is your role?

I’ve been a faculty member in the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Counseling since 1992. It has been an honor and a privilege to work in collaboration with and have the support of HDI.

Of which HDI accomplishments are you most proud?

I am impressed with the myriad ways in which HDI has remained a critical stakeholder in advocacy and the provision of excellent services and resources for persons with disabilities throughout the years.

Do you have any advice you would like to share with current and future staff and students at HDI?

HDI’s contributions to humanity are too numerous to compute, and the impact is too vast to capture in mere words. Please continue to service Kentuckians with disabilities with the zeal you have shown over the years, and continue to serve as a beacon of light for others to emulate.

What do you think the future holds for HDI?

The future of HDI is extremely promising, as they continue to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of persons that need their resources the most.
