In affiliation with the UK College of Social Work, this seminar will familiarize the audience with the scope of services and the advocacy role of this state agency. The speakers will discuss, in lay terms, how community-based waivers operate. The speakers will clarify the history of the Michelle P. Waiver lawsuit and what services are offered under the court-mandated Michelle P. Waiver for adults and children.
This seminar is open to parents, consumers, human services professionals, educators and childcare workers, social workers, counseling and psychology professionals, university students, and other community members who have an interest or career in working with those having a disability and their families. CEU applications are pending for Social Work, Psychology, Voc Rehab and Early Childhood.
