More than 1 in 3 adults under age 65 enrolled in Medicaid have a disability. Medicaid provides essential medical care and supportive services that help many persons with disabilities remain in their homes and communities. The Department of Medicaid Services (DMS) will provide a basic overview of Kentucky’s six 1915 (c) Medicaid waivers and the services they provide for people with disabilities. We will discuss the process for applying for waivers. Lastly, we will discuss upcoming waiver redesign and provide avenues to provide feedback to guide the process.

  • Participants will become familiar with how to apply for Medicaid waivers.
  • Participants will be able to discuss upcoming waiver redesign and avenues for providing feedback.
