The National Center on Health, Physical Activity & Disability (NCHPAD) works to achieve health equity for people with disabilities by building healthy, inclusive communities through training and collaboration. NCHPAD staff and partners have developed models and tools that include children and adults with disabilities with the goal of facilitating inclusive communities.
1. Develop an understanding of NCHPAD’s efforts to achieve health equity for people with disabilities.
2. Become familiar with NCHPAD resources for inclusive physical activity, fitness, recreation, sports, leisure, nutrition, disability and chronic health conditions.
3. Identify ways to apply the Inclusive Community Health Implementation Package (iCHIP) which provides guidance and resources for community health leadership and promotion.
