HDI Seminar Series - Inside/Out: Perspectives on Autism Topics

With videoconference sites around the Commonwealth

A noted professional in the autism field and an autistic self-advocate will present differing views on topics of interest to researchers, educators, and others working with people on the autism spectrum. Participants will have opportunities to question and interact with the presenters. Subjects ranging from person-first language to Applied Behavior analysis to supports in the workplace will provide a backdrop for discussion, ultimately exploring the possible answers to “What is autism, anyway?”

Dr. Myra Beth Bundy, Professor of Psychology, Eastern Kentucky University & Co-Director of EKU’s Autism Spectrum Disorder Certificate Program and 

Bev Harp, Educational Specialist for Supported Higher Education Project, MSW Candidate & national/international speaker on autism
